Having been an angler since the age of 20 I, like many people, have seen many
changes - particularly in recent years. People, young and old are often
careless in many ways. Mostly when asked, they had participated in a fishing
day with 40 to 60 other people. But the watercraft of fishing cannot be taught
in just one day. Fishing is not just about catching fish.

I have recently taught a family of 8 on a Beginners course to fish. This
consisted of Father, Mother and 4 boys aged 16yrs to 9yrs old, the Mother's
brother and sister. The biggest fish each one has caught is 8lb 10oz common
carp (F), 13lb 14oz mirror carp (M), 16lb mirror carp (16yr old), 10lb 3oz
common carp (14 yr old), 2lb roach & 5lb 10oz common carp (11 yr old), 1lb
8oz roach & 2lb 9oz mirror carp (9 yr old), 13lb 12oz mirror carp (B) and
finally an 8lb 3oz common carp (S). Another young man who did an Advanced
Course, caught his first ever double figure fish when he caught a 13lb 12oz
mirror carp. This is only part of people of all ages that I have taught, if I
